Trumpeter Orlando Libreros (Quinto Mayor, Grupo Gale, Jose Bello, Luisito Arroyo, Pedro Arroyo etc.) is the force behind Salsa Libre, a bright, young, radio-ready pop salsa band from Medellin, Colombia. Uptempo stuff in the mold of,say, Carruselles and King Bongo, they mix romantic pop phrasing with hard driving rhythm for the dancers. Perfect club fare.
